A tragic traffic accident occurred Sunday in the Aveyron, in the town of La Loubière. One person, the 26-year-old driver of a mini-bus, died, the Rodez prosecutor's office said in a statement on Tuesday evening, May 16.
The events occurred between Muret (Haute-Garonne) and Mende (Lozère), while a group of children were returning from a football tournament. On National Road 88, the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle, while attempting to overtake on a wet road. The vehicle rolled over several times.

Six children injured
Six child passengers were injured. Five of them were placed under observation at the hospital of Rodez, before leaving Monday, while the sixth was still taken care of on Tuesday, since more seriously injured.
An autopsy confirmed the link between the young man's death and the accident. Toxicological tests are underway to determine the presence of narcotics or alcohol in his system. Psychological care for the victims was provided by the city of Mende and the sports association in conjunction with the French Football Federation.
