To the ranks of celebrities joining the pledge of support for Israel who want to send a message of hope and strength in the midst of the victim-rich war, Madonna joined Sunday with a post she published calling for an end to the atrocities and praying for peace.

"What's happening in Israel is devastating," Madonna began the post she shared with her 19.2 million followers over an informational video depicting the horrors of the murderous attack on Israel. "To watch all families and especially children being led like a herd, attacked and murdered in the streets is heartbreaking," she wrote.
"Imagine if this happened to you. It's incomprehensible. Conflicts can never be resolved violently. Unfortunately, humanity does not understand this universal truth and has never understood it," she added sadly.

"We live in a world destroyed by revenge. My heart goes out to Israel. To the families and the destroyed homes. To the lost children. To the innocent victims who were killed. To all who suffer or will suffer," she wrote. "I pray for you."
"This tragic attack will only cause more suffering for everyone. Let us all pray. For Israel. For Peace in the World," she concluded the post, which received more than 100,000 views and likes in less than an hour of publication. "Pray for Israel," reinforced singer Rita Ora, who responded to her support for the attack from pro-Palestinian web surfers, while Madonna herself was attacked by Palestinian surfers alongside thousands of Jewish and Israeli surfers who reinforced her words.
