The municipality of Herzliya won a call for the construction of a modern and multi-purpose arena, which will be used, among other things, for sports in the city in particular and basketball in particular.
The meaning of the move and the win is a grant of 35 million shekels from the Ministry of Sports, with the plan being to build a state-of-the-art and modern hall that houses 4,000-5,000 seats.
The move will promote sports in the city and strengthen its basketball team, Bnei Herzliya, which has been hosting its home games for decades in the small Jubilee Hall, which is not authorized to host games in the European framework.
This interest led to a migration to Enrbox in Hadera for hosting the Champions League this season.
