Because the Munich player affected is simply called Sadio Mané, the star of the team (2nd in the Ballon d'Or 2022) and the best asset of the Senegalese, reigning African champions, for the World Cup in Qatar (November 20 - December 18).
After a blow to the leg during the Bavarian victory against Werder Bremen in the German championship (6-1), Mané left the lawn in the 20th minute, replaced by his namesake Leroy Sané.

According to L'Équipe, Mané would be more affected than Bayern wanted to suggest after the match.
The Teranga Lions star is said to have suffered a tendon.
Which would require several weeks of convalescence and would therefore imply a withdrawal from the World Cup.
If his package was formalized, the blow would be very hard for Senegal.
Less for Bayern Munich when the World Cup break looms.
And indirectly, this possible package would not suit PSG either, Bayern's next opponent in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Because Mané, if he does not compete in the World Cup, would be sure to be in good physical condition on February 14 and March 7.
