Surprise move by Arturo Vidal who, according to what reported by ABC, would have reported Barcelona for the non-payment of 2.4 million bonuses that the cheater would claim for last season. The decision, formalized and presented before the mixed commission of the League and AFE (the players' union), arrives a few days after the opening of the winter market which would see the Chilean midfielder in the sights of Inter. According to Barcelona, however, there is no debt against the player. The complaint was filed by the footballer's lawyers on December 5. The 'knot' of the dispute is linked to a clause in the contract according to which if the player participated in 60% of the official matches of Barcelona he would have been entitled to 2.5 million euros. Vidal has not reached that number of minutes, but exactly half, and believes he must receive half the bonus, unlike the club that instead excludes that he is entitled to it. In addition, the Chilean lawyers argue that the club should have paid in full the two bonuses provided for having reached the knockout stages and the quarterfinals of the Champions League (about 1.4 million euros each), while the Barcelona lawyers are convinced to have to pay only 50% of these amounts. Finally, Vidal also claims half of the bonus for winning the La Liga, for another 250,000 euros. "The overall total is 4,097,500 euros - explain the Chilean's lawyers, according to the Spanish press - while to date Barcelona has paid only 1,693,000 euros gross as prizes".
