"I think that's the coolest thing about you: that you don't care about anything," Meyer-Landrut said tearfully about her friend. "I learned a lot from that, and I got really brave from you."

The ESC winner of 2010 sings in her song "It Takes Two" about her friendship with Roche, which also survived "a dark phase".

For Vonn, the move is obviously an emancipatory act: "Women are not the only ones who should get an engagement ring," wrote the skier, who has won more World Cup races in her career than any woman before.

Meghan's girlfriend, US actress Janina Gavankar, took the picture, as her spokesman confirmed to US magazine People.

The young family is currently spending a Christmas holiday of several weeks in Canada, where Meghan, 38, has lived and shot for the US series "Suits" for seven years. For Christmas, Harry, Meghan and Archie will therefore not be with the Queen at the Sandringham country estate, but will instead spend the festival with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland.
