(ANSA) - BEIJING, FEBRUARY 1 - The last official death toll from Pechinos on the coronavirus epidemic is 259 dead and almost 12 milacontaciated. The previous official report, dating back to about 24 hours before, had 213 dead and two thousand infected. Two hours ago the news of 45 new deaths, which brought the total to 258. All the deaths of the last 24 hours except one - specified the National Health Commission of China - occurred in the province of Hubei, the epicenter of the focus. 2,102 were diagnosed in 24 hours.
The national total therefore rose to 11,791. And despite the unprecedented restrictions imposed on millions of people in Hubei last week and the very preventive measures taken in other parts of the country.
