Casa Leopardi opens Giacomo's private apartments

(ANSA) - ANCONA, FEBRUARY 13 - From 21 March 2020 in Recanati, at Casa Leopardi, for the first time, after a careful restoration, part of the main floor and the apartments where Giacomo Leopardi lived together with his brothers will be opened to the public. 'Ove abitai fanciullo', the new visit itinerary, will allow access to the reception halls of the palace, to the gallery with its art collections, to the garden that inspired Le Ricordanze, to the sitting room where the Leopardi brothers entertained and to the private rooms Giacomo, excluded from domestic use for more than two centuries. The path leads to those that have always been called "Brecce" at home. Count Monaldo had these rooms built between the two gardens, both east and east, to leave independence and intimacy for the now adolescent children. The row of the three rooms has been restored, bringing to light the original pictorial decorations.
