(ANSA) - TOLENTINO (MACERATA), FEBRUARY 13 - Enzo Angeli, one of the last partisans of Tolentino, died at 92 years of age. A disappearance that arrives a few days after the death of Aroldo Ragaini, recalls a note from the municipal administration.
Angeli, who had moved to Sweden immediately after the war, came from an anti-fascist family, with his mother still remembered as "Mother of the patriots". Enzo joined the partisan brigades at the age of 15, demonstrating, as has been written "the tenacity of the father, the fortress of the mother, the courage of the brother". Together with Lieutenant Steel and TotoClaudi he participated in many actions, with "flying teams", and stood out for audacity and contempt for danger. He was entrusted with the tricolor flag on the day of the Liberation of Tolentino, 30 June 1944. Together with his companions he made his triumphal entry into Piazza della Libertà. He survived the Montalto massacre by accident, because he had had a small accident, just a few days before the massacre.
