Talks in Olbia for a second base in Sardinia (ANSA)

'We have seen and heard some news. We want to say that there is no Ryanair interest in buying Air Italy. ' This was said by David O'Brien, Ryanair's chief commercial officer in Milan, who explains: ' Air Italy has no interesting slots or that we may be interested in . I believe that when Qatar invested in Air Italy it didn't think Alitalia would last so long. '

O'Brien also announced that ' discussions are underway with the Olbia airport to open a second base in Sardinia' .

'It will be difficult - he added - that this will happen for the summer but it is a great opportunity. To open this second base in Sardinia we need more aircraft and we are working to have them. '
