The Frenchman Martin Fourcade won the gold medal in the men's individual at the biathlon World Championships in progress in Anterselva: for him it is the fourth title in this format. The transalpine champion, at the 11th world title in his career (he equaled the record at the individual level of the Norwegian Ole-Einar Bjoerndalen) preceded the Norwegian Johannes Boe, already silver also in the pursuit, and the Austrian Dominik Landertinger. Day to forget instead for the blues, with Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch who closed in the rear.
