Twelve Israeli Diamond Princess passengers are expected to land in the country on Friday morning, but will not return to their homes - but will be separated in order to prevent the possibility of the Corona outbreak in Israel • Ministry of Health CEO: "The first patient in Israel may arrive from this group"

If there are no last minute changes, and none are missing, the 12 passengers scheduled to land in the last few weeks on the Diamond Princess cruise ship are expected to land on Friday morning in Japan.

This is what travelers' isolation from Japan will look like

Three Israeli passengers infected with the Corona virus will remain in hospital for another five days. This is another spouse and another Israeli who stayed with her husband in the room throughout the isolation days. Until last night, two of the 12 passengers had no blood tests. If they are found to be carriers of the virus, they will also not be allowed to board the special aircraft for Israel and will have to be hospitalized.

During the flight, passengers will be asked to wear protective equipment that includes a mask and gloves, with the health system also preparing for the possibility of one passenger getting sick during the flight.

The special airplane leased for them will stop in the farthest distance from the terminals at Ben Gurion Airport, and only a limited number of airport employees, who are protected against the virus, will be allowed to take care of it. After refueling, the crew will take off with them and remain in Israel.

The 12 passengers will be evacuated from the Magen David Adom ambulances to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer. Their families arrived at the isolation facility yesterday and brought food, games, books, pictures and even bedding from home to enjoy their loved ones' stay there whenever possible. MDA paramedics and paramedics will fight with the help of a special suit, mask, hat and glasses. After the evacuation, the ambulances will be sanctioned by a special system that ensures the health of the patients and the next wounded and their MDA staff.

The isolation will occur in a building outside the hospital fence, not far from the IDF bases near Tel Hashomer, which has been used by hospital staff so far. It contains about 20 rooms with ensuite bathroom and shower. Some can be used as doubles and some are isolated. Central spaces: a courtyard-enclosed building to which the insulators can go, each time residents of another room are called to take a walk or take food.

Each room will be equipped with monitoring devices and under the mattresses sensors will be installed to measure pulse and breathing during sleep. Changes in these metrics may be a predictor of a rise in heat. The recluses will be fitted with blood pressure gauges, thermometers and blisters through which they will take their throats.

"Complex operation"

The isolation was designed so that virtually no contact between the passengers and the medical staff was required, and the communication with them would be via video chat with doctors through the television screens in their room. The doctors will be in a specialist room outside the building. The chat can be with all passengers together or with each room individually, and passengers will be screened with appropriate content as well as tutorials related to handling them.

"Rescuing Israelis on the ship is a complex operation," said MoH CEO Moshe Bar Good, "both logistically and with considerable likelihood that the first patient in Israel may come from this group. We cannot rule out that there will be no accident among one of the passengers, so they will stay in isolation. I agree with the decision to bring the Israeli passengers. We will know how to deal with the risk. The election campaign did not play a role here.

"The evacuation will be conducted as a military operation to make sure that at no point and at any crossing point - not getting off the plane, arriving at Sheba or entering there - we will have an exposure event beyond this group's size. Among them, we will protect them with protective gear. We recommend them to protect the aircraft and I hope they Will face it even though it's a long flight. "

Yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu toured the isolation facility, saying, "The facility is very impressive. It uses innovative technologies and methods to achieve maximum isolation, of course, and we hope none of the Israelis rescued from the infected ship are infected. Our policy is to prevent as much as possible or reject as much as possible. The virus has entered Israel. So far we have probably succeeded. There are claims about over-preparation, I prefer and over-prepare rather than under-prepare. "
