The document indicates that between 30 January and 7 March, 30 suspicious cases were notified. These were patients who had acute respiratory infection and in 9 of the cases they had close contacts with confirmed cases. Of those 9 patients, two were discarded, six are still under home isolation and one is hospitalized for presenting a feverish condition.
The first coronavirus patient in the country had been confirmed last Tuesday. This is a 43-year-old man who had also arrived on March 1 from Milan, on a direct flight through Alitalia .
