This is how a recipe for chocolate cake with mayonnaise can look like

  • 230 ml of water
  • 40 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 160 ml mayonnaise
  • 140 g flour
  • 60 g starch
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt

And this is how you prepare the chocolate cake with mayonnaise

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat.
  • Grease a 26 cm springform pan thoroughly.
  • Boil the water and stir in the cocoa powder. Set the mixture aside and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Mix the flour well with the starch, sugar, salt and baking soda.
  • First stir in the mayonnaise under the cocoa and then gradually add the flour mixture until everything is well mixed. The dough is quite fluid.
  • Transfer the dough to the springform pan and bake the cake on the middle rail for about 30 minutes. Do the stick test.
  • You can simply dust the cake with icing sugar or cover it with a pour. Don't worry, you won't taste any of the mayonnaise afterwards. Dare, you will be rewarded with a deliciously juicy chocolate cake .
