A week after the implementation of the containment measures, the situation in the press sector seems rather to stabilize. Despite the health crisis, the distribution network as a whole resisted. La Poste - even if it could reduce the load - continues to operate, and only 15%, or 3000 of the 21,500 outlets, have closed. At the current rate, a few hundred are closing every day. All hope temporarily.

As the traditional Press and Media Week kicks off this Wednesday, the ambition of which is to introduce pupils to the media and invite them to reflect on their role (this year it will be at a distance), this will be an opportunity to observe the movements of a sector, considered essential by the public authorities, which is going through an unprecedented crisis. All levels of the sector are impacted and this will have structuring consequences at the time of the normal resumption of activity.
