(ANSA) - AREZZO, 23 APR - An invasive and portable compact lung ventilator, the first of its kind, also suitable for home use and with touch screen. It's called Respira ilprogetto, all Italian, born from the partnership between Seco companies, a reality based in Arezzo that has been designing and producing micro computers for 40 years, and Ibd, an innovative SME in the biomedical sector.
In addition to ventilating Coronavirus sufferers without the need for intubation, a note explains, Respira can be used in cases of immunosuppression or for those who require oxygenation before and after intensive care. The delivery of the new lung ventilators is expected to start between the end of May and the beginning of June.
