The Sassari Surveillance Court has ordered the release of Pasquale Zagaria, the entrepreneur imprisoned in 41 bis linked to the Casalesi clan, brother of the superboss Michele Zagaria. The decision was made by the magistrates also because of the unavailability of the island's health facilities to be able to guarantee the detainee the continuation of the diagnostic and therapeutic process he needs due to a serious pathology.

"It is restricted in the 41bis regime" and "therefore in single cells and with all the limitations of the aforementioned regime which protect it from the risk of contagion". With this reason, the judge of the Milan Surveillance has rejected the request for deferral of penalty to house arrest for reasons of health of the life sentence boss Nitto Santapaola

Requests to the judiciary for the surveillance of prisoners belonging to the high security circuit or subject to 41 bis must be sent to the national anti-mafia and district prosecutors. This is what a circular could foresee, according to what is learned from sources in Via Arenula, on which the Prison Administration Department is working, intended for the directors of prisons.
