The government on Friday announced a closure in the cities where it will be used and lanes and the existence of a "restricted area" in some of the streets and neighborhoods there. The decision was made following the increase in the number of corona virus patients in certain neighborhoods and streets in both cities and will enter the period on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

According to the decision of the Ministerial Committee to determine a restricted area, and on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, in Netivot, a closure will be imposed on the Netaim and Shalom Bonich neighborhoods, as well as on Hazani, Tsbanan, the Tzala, Brosh Billu and Gershonovitz streets. In Beit Shemesh, the Nahala and Rest neighborhoods will be closed and Kiryat Beit Shemesh B.

The Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister's Office said that during the validity of the declaration, the Ministry of Defense through the Home Front Command will ensure the existence of an existent supply of food, groceries and services and assistance to the population within the region. The Interior and Finance Ministries will work to address and assist populations in neighborhoods declared in the said communities.

Netivot Mayor Yechiel Zohar responded: "It is precisely against the backdrop that we have been notified of a government decision on conditions of restriction of traffic, opening businesses in defined commercial areas and more, I urge all residents of the city to keep precautionary precautions to prevent contagion, as We are in a critical period of growing morbidity that requires us all to take responsibility for personal conduct in the public sphere and at home. "

A drastic increase in numbers

A large part of the increase in numbers is, as mentioned, due to infection within nuclear families. For example, in the "Level B" neighborhood of Beit Shemesh, morbidity increased by 129% within a week. There are 117 patients in the neighborhood. The number of families with patients increased from 44 to 64 within a week. In the old Beit Shemesh neighborhood, there was a 76% increase in morbidity, as was the "Kerry" neighborhood. So far, three of the city's residents have died from Corona. Netivot found a street in which 15 patients were discovered, most of them from the same family.

Beit Shemesh Mayor, Dr. Eliza Bloch, responded to the closure decision and wrote: "The Prime Minister's Ministerial Committee approved my request to provide a comprehensive support and services system for the neighborhood and rest neighborhoods and Ramat Beit Shemesh II and I look forward to implementing these decisions as soon as possible. Expanded social, focal reinforcement, extensive advocacy and enrichment activities to help families stay in their homes.

"The Beit Shemesh Municipality will do everything it can to help those neighborhood residents go through these days with strict adherence to all procedures. I will also emphasize that the effort to remove the verified patients from the city will continue and I urge all residents of the city to continue to adhere to the guidelines. Only then can the Corona be won. " Instructions for residents of Nahala and Rest neighborhood and Ramat Beit Shemesh B from Sunday at 06:00 for the following five days: Traffic within the neighborhood, Food and Medicines allowed within the neighborhood, Continuity of municipal services will continue, Essential medical services will be allowed, Access between the neighborhoods will not be allowed , No entry and exit from the area will be allowed, "Bloch added.
