In light of the population's easing of restrictions on population restrictions, the Ministry of Health recommends the closure of a number of neighborhoods in the city of Beit Shemesh, where morbidity in Corona is rising. The city reported 392 patients today, up 23% in three days - then there were 319 patients.

The ministerial committee that meets this evening will also discuss the city's restrictions, including closures on several neighborhoods. The health ministry spoke with Mayor Aliza Bloch, who expressed support during the day, in light of the data showing infection within families. This is done while supporting the population by distributing food.

A large part of the increase in numbers is, as mentioned, due to infection within nuclear families. For example, in the "Level B" neighborhood, morbidity jumped 129% within a week. There are 117 patients in the neighborhood. The number of families with patients increased from 44 to 64 within a week. In the old Beit Shemesh neighborhood, there was a 76% increase in morbidity, as was the "Kerry" neighborhood. So far, three of the city's residents have died from Corona.

Beit Shemesh Mayor, Dr. Aliza Bloch: "In light of the increase in the number of patients in Level II and the Haredi community, I have held several meetings with the Ministry of Health, the Home Front Command and the Israel Police, as well as with city council members. I believe that at this time a comprehensive emergency plan is needed to treat these neighborhoods. In light of this, I demand that the government formulate a comprehensive package of assistance for these neighborhoods, including traffic restrictions. The package will include an increased array of evacuation of patients, increased assistance to neighborhood residents in food baskets, enrichment activities for children and youth, comprehensive concern for at-risk populations such as the elderly, and movement restrictions and increased enforcement. I appeal to all the residents of the city and wish to continue to follow the guidelines and emergency procedures. "
