Factor reports that the National Council on Women's Medicine intends to recommend the return of fertility treatments in hospitals • The Female Fertility Forum: "Discriminating Most Women"

  • Fertility treatments in Israel

The National Council for Women's Medicine held a special hearing on Friday regarding the return of fertility treatments in hospitals after being terminated due to the corona epidemic, and according to sources in the council's hearing, which serves as an advisory body to the Ministry of Health, is expected to recommend the return of fertility treatments for women age 39 and older.

The news has caused outrage among groups of women undergoing fertility treatments. On the Facebook page of the Female Fertility Forum in Israel, the body that threatened to end the termination of fertility treatments, an angry post was directed against Health Minister Litzman and the heads of the Israeli health system.

The post reads: "So here is Litzman about to collapse, another step in his frightened retreat from the pressure of you girls, the Supreme Court, the media and the politicians. Bravo. The good news is that we have progressed. This is apparently a receipt of the outline we are battling in the High Court, the Knesset and the media, the ILA outline. But in reality, this is very bad news. The news is that only 4000 women out of the 15-20,000 women we represent will receive treatments 11-16,000 of our girls will begin treatment just a month after, in early June 2020, five weeks from now.

"No, no, Minister of Health Litzman. We will not accept this, we will fight. You will be asked to explain in the High Court on Thursday that after Independence Day, why you discriminate about three-quarters of the women's forum for promoting women's fertility in Israel. You will need to explain how you enable elective treatment in hospitals despite the corona, but fertility treatments you stop. You will be asked to explain to us and the general public what motivates you? May we be required to pay the price of the system panic, which seeks forces and a budget on our girls' account? Have you prioritized our desire to bring a child into the world, lower than elective treatments?

Mr. Litzman, Minister of Health, Hessem and Haim. Your expected rows - are not rows. They are bad news to a large public of disappointed women, who are ready to fight dogs for their right to conceive. We are not buying the spins from your CEO's office, which has been preparing to make budgets for Corona, and is now looking for financial resources to reduce our fertility treatments, ”the post said.

The organization concluded with a direct appeal to the Minister of Health, which reads: "Our news to you that we do not abandon our younger sisters from the age of 39. We will continue to fight these arbitrary decisions, through the High Court, the rising and rising political system, the doctors, the media and the entire people. Immediately allow the return of all fertility treatments for all ages, starting in early May. And if money is missing, screwed on the prime minister's desk, which will allocate resources. You know how to do it. You make it too much discussion about matters that are not our health. Do it for us. That or that or the High Court will decide. "
