Michel Piccoli plays a Parisian screenwriter, Paul, who leaves with his wife Camille (Brigitte Bardot) to join director Fritz Lang filming in Italy on behalf of the American film producer Jeremy Prokosch, on the set of the film Ulysse (an adaptation of L 'Odyssey ).
