The Rome court sentenced Raffaele Nugnes to two years' imprisonment, accused of stalking for targeting the leader of the Brothers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni. The judges of the first penal section decided this, recognizing a partial defect towards the accused by arranging a third year to spend at a residence for the execution of the security measures (Rems).

The man, originally from Caserta and arrested by Digos last July, had written threatening and defamatory messages via Facebook, claiming that Meloni's daughter would actually be his daughter. Before the precautionary order to house arrest, Nugnes had been reached by compulsory way sheet with a ban on returning to the province of Rome for 2 years, on the order of the Quaestor: he had gone to Rome to find out where the parliamentarian lived. "Righteous judgment that reflects what resulted from the psychiatric report that I decided to ask", for Meloni's lawyer, Urbano Del Balzo.
