(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 8 - "Since the beginning of the crisis I have received reports of unjustified increases in essential goods and services and I have requested that these speculative practices be monitored and prosecuted. It is a front on which we must keep our guard high because it is unacceptable for citizens , already severely tested by the consequences of the epidemic, must suffer other serious economic hardships ". This was stated by the President of the Senate Elisabetta Casellati. President Casellati adds: "I am particularly satisfied that the European Commission has underlined how our Competition and Market Authority constitutes a reference model for the other European Authorities in the activity carried out to protect consumers in the health emergency".
