Radio: Pascale Clark finds her voice on Europe 1

2020-06-08T15:24:28.541Z

The former journalist of France Inter will replace Philippe Vandel at the presentation of “Media culture” on Europe 1 this summer.

It is a return to the antenna after a (too) long extinction of voice. From July 6, listeners will once again be able to hear the sweet timbre, the millimeter silences and the cash questions from Pascale Clark. Until August 21, the 56-year-old journalist will host 9 am to 11 am on Europe 1 "Media Culture", Monday to Friday, during Philippe Vandel's summer holidays.

If the structure of the program devoted to news from the media, social networks and culture will not change, Pascale Clark will undoubtedly take one or two new columnist (s) in her luggage.

"We want her to print her paw," says Nadia Milosevic, deputy director of Europe 1 programs. "We are very happy that Pascale accepted our proposal because beyond her vocal signature, it is a demanding interviewer and a hard worker, "continues the station manager. Which underlines that before officiating on RTL (for three years) and on France Inter (for fifteen years), Pascale Clark had been a reporter for Europe 1 and presented "Europe Nuit" in 1993-1994. In September 2017, she briefly joined Christophe Hondelatte's show as an editorial writer.

"She was missing on the radio"

"It was when we heard Pascale say that she missed the radio that we told ourselves that she also missed on the radio," explains Nadia Milosevic. In her story "Mute" ("Mute" or "Mute") , published in February (Ed. Flammarion, 256 pages, € 19), the journalist indeed recounts two sorrows occurring concomitantly in her life in 2016: when she left France Inter, her mother, suffering from a neurodegenerative disease, lost the use of speech…

In recent years, the one who also became known for her atypical interviews on Canal + between 2001 and 2007 (in "Aside", the personalities only heard her voice) had created a web radio "BoxSons", put to sleep since. Could his summer on Europe 1 start a more sustainable return to the air? "We will see at the start of the school year, according to everyone's wishes," smiles Nadia Milosevic.
