(ANSAmed) - SARAJEVO, JULY 11 - In Bosnia and Herzegovina some hundreds of people are reaching the Memorial Cemetery of Potocari, at the gates of Srebrenica, to commemorate the over eight thousand victims of the genocide carried out 25 years ago by the Bosnian troops led by General Ratko Mladic.
The commemoration this year takes place in compliance with the restrictive and security measures imposed for the 19-pandemic. In addition to the relatives of the nine victims who will remain buried today, a limited number of people are allowed to avoid contagion. These are the victims of the massacre whose remains have been identified in the past 12 months.
Some Bosnian authorities and representatives of the diplomatic corps will participate in the ceremonies, while the personalities who were supposed to be in Srebrenica today sent video messages.
At the burial rite of the nine victims, the burials were found in one of the 70 mass graves, only family members will attend. The youngest victim to be buried today was Salko Ibisevic, who was 23 years old in 1995, while the oldest is the seventy-year-old HasanPezic. (HANDLE).
