The novel coronavirus epidemic has killed 10 new people in the past 24 hours in France, according to the latest data communicated by the Directorate General of Health on Thursday.
In total, the coronavirus has killed 30,182 people in the country. Among these deaths, 19,666 took place in hospitals.
The figures of social and medico-social establishments will not be updated until July 28. The latest report, drawn up on Tuesday, reported 10,516 dead.
Some 5,957 people are still hospitalized after being infected with SARS-CoV-2, up from 6,366 on Wednesday. Among these patients, 436 of the most serious cases are in intensive care units. The balance remains negative in these services reserved for the most serious cases, with 9 fewer patients compared to Wednesday.
The virus is still circulating throughout the national territory, warns the DGS. Which recalls that "our recent habits have been promoting the circulation of the virus for several weeks already".
