The labor market in Italy has marked "three consecutive months of economic downturns", a trend that is not very strong but "persistent": said Roberto Monducci, director of the Department for statistical production of Istat, in the Senate hearing, speaking of "a drop in the labor market of around 500,000 workers since the start of the pandemic".
Monducci, citing the available investigations, added that "over a third of the companies" denounced economic and organizational factors that put their survival at risk, detecting a risk for the sustainability of the business between now and the end of the year ".
