Agathe Auproux back at Hanouna: "You can laugh at Cyril's jokes and read literature"

2020-09-01T11:06:37.691Z

The 28-year-old journalist, widely followed on social networks, announces her return this Thursday in the C8 program, "Balance your post".

It's the chef's surprise.

Agathe Auproux, away from the small screen since November, is back at Cyril Hanouna.

Twice a week, the young 28-year-old journalist, followed by 837,000 subscribers on Instagram, will rub shoulders with the debate on hot news, twice a week in the new formula of "Balance your post", now daily (Monday to Friday at 5.45 p.m. on C8).

His return to school will take place this Thursday, live.

This rap fan, who puts on Jul during her shooting at the Parisian photo studio, tells us about this return to the screen.

So, that's it, are you back with Cyril Hanouna?

AGATHE AUPROUX.

Yes, it's back to school, I'm going back to "Balance your post"!

I left C8 and the TV shows last November, after having had a complicated and bizarre year in hospital.

I resumed immediately after my remission

(Editor's note: from lymphoma, now cured)

, something I should not have done because it was too early.

It all happened very quickly, too quickly.

Cyril and H2O (

his production company

) had adapted well so that I could continue “Balance your post” at the rate of once a week during my chemotherapy.

He always told me that the door would always be open.

When he proposed to me again last September, I immediately said:

" Yes of course !

"

Was it the desire for life to resume quickly as before?

Exactly, I was in an emergency not to waste any more time, I wanted to feel capable of it.

I went back there too quickly.

I had the catheter removed on August 11 and on the 31st, I was taking the re-entry photos, just after another operation.

I tried it, but live broadcasts like this, and which last a long time, require a lot of concentration.

I didn't feel physically tired, but in my head I wasn't always there exercising.

I didn't want to be so exposed on TV.

The band understood very well.

I then needed to refocus on my energies and breathe.

I took time for myself, saw my family in Guéret, my friends.

I took a break on my own in Dubai.

And even there, you still feed your social networks ...

Yes, even though I quit Twitter, it was too time consuming because I was just doing this all day.

Now I focus on Instagram which I feed daily.

After 48 hours, if I don't give a sign of life, some subscribers are already asking me for my news in a private message.

It's part of the game. It's a source of income for me, because brands communicate with the younger generation through accounts like mine.

It can range from a sushi restaurant to Cartier.

When I was sick, at first, I posted pictures as if everything was fine when in reality I was in the hospital.

I was afraid to tell what was happening to me because I was afraid of having to deal with floods of compassion.

But I felt like I was hiding it from everyone and I announced it.

How do you manage to be followed so much?

My first appearance next to Cyril Hanouna blew up my number of subscribers.

I came as a “media guest”.

And Cyril, one of whose strengths is being very connected to social networks, immediately told me: "It's incredible what's going on, your name is everywhere, you have to come back tomorrow."

He had found me very natural.

I always wanted to do the written press, I was a journalist at Inrocks, I had no ambition on television.

And how did they take it from your famous hip newspaper?

When Cyril invited me for once, they thought it was cool, but when it became recurring, it just didn't happen.

You spoke of class contempt on their part, do you regret it?

No.

There is a certain snobbery about people who think they are smart and educated and who think too highly of themselves.

Basically, if you laugh at Cyril's jokes, you can't read Russian literature.

And I hate it.

You can enjoy popular culture and go see a ballet at the opera house.

So intellectual and columnist at Cyril Hanouna, this is not incompatible?

Yesiii, please!

You can watch football and Arte matches.

Why this return?

“Balance your post” is a program that I love, which suits me, with columnists like Eric Naulleau or Bernard Laporte whom I love.

It's a challenge, and when I asked Cyril to come back, he accepted.

I want to bring a vision of the news by someone my age.

You had left television less and less watched by young people.

Isn't that a step backwards?

My little brother never had TV.

Like the written press, TV struggles to capture the target of 18 to 35 year olds.

However, Cyril manages to capture as many young people as possible.

On the set, you will soon receive Geoffroy Lejeune, the director of Valeurs Actuelles, a newspaper accused of racism.

Can we say everything on television?

To fight extremist, discriminatory ideas, we must not muzzle them.

The more they are censored, the more it germinates in underground networks.

Otherwise, we can contradict them.

I am delighted that there is Geoffroy Lejeune and to do my first show with him.

It gets things done.

The worst thing to do is to give the media as little space as possible and ignore it.

Cyril Hanouna also gave the floor to the yellow vests ...

The strength of "Balance your post" is that it is not just lawyers, shrinks or sociologists, but those first concerned who give their opinions.

Like real farmers, real caregivers ...

How to prevent it from turning into store-bought coffee?

We don't want to.

But literally, if the café du commerce is a place where we talk about social problems that directly affect us, I don't take that as a reproach.

Cyril recruited an eclectic team, with different political currents.

A coffee shop with Karim Zeribi, Bernard Laporte, I take!
