A disturbance in transit on the Ionian Sea will bring a wave of bad weather on the southern regions, with rains, thunderstorms and strong winds.
On the basis of available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a weather alert that provides for widespread rainfall from the evening, locally also very intense and accompanied by lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, on the central-southern sectors of Calabria and north-east. of Sicily.
In addition, strong winds up to storms are expected on the Ionian sectors of Sicily and Calabria.
Based on the expected phenomena, the Department also assessed an orange alert on the two regions for Thursday.
