Forty-six hospital deaths and 9,784 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours in the country, according to figures released on Wednesday by Public Health France.

77 new clusters
A total of 2,976 people had to be hospitalized during the past week, including 508 in intensive care.
In one day, 77 new clusters were identified in the country.
In all, 862 clusters are under investigation, including 127 in nursing homes.
These epidemic foci include "at least three confirmed or probable cases, in a period of seven days", according to the definition given by Public Health France.
82 departments are now in a situation of moderate or high vulnerability.

Since the start of the epidemic in France, 31,045 people have died from Covid-19, including 20,517 in hospitals and 10,538 in social and medico-social establishments, such as nursing homes.
