Etihad Airways, the second largest airline in the UAE, and the first of the emirates to make a direct passenger flight to Israel, has launched a website in Hebrew.

The significance of the opening of the site stems from the company's intention to operate direct flights on the Abu Dhabi-Tel Aviv route, since the company is based in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

The site was launched for the convenience of Israeli passengers who choose to fly with the company to Abu Dhabi and to the company's many future destinations in the Far East, Europe and the Americas.

As you may recall, last night a company plane flew over the skies of Israel on a flight departing from Milan for Abu Dhabi.

As can be heard in the recording of the connection between the control tower at Ben Gurion Airport and the pilot, the parties greeted each other and signed "Inshallah".

Next week, two Etihad flights are scheduled to land at Ben Gurion Airport - the first on Monday morning and the second on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday - with delegations from Israel and the United Arab Emirates on board.

Itihad has signed an agreement with a company that will represent it in Israel about a month ago, and is waiting to operate flights from Ben Gurion Airport. An Israeli delegation is expected to take off for Abu Dhabi at the end of October, signing an aviation agreement with the Emirates.
