(ANSA) - VENICE, OCTOBER 15 - The high water in Venice has been successfully blocked by the Mose system.
135cm were registered at the Lido-San Nicolò barriers at 10.30, 105cm in the Adriatic (at 10.5), and 65cm in the lagoon.
Undifferential - according to the Tide Center of the Municipality - of 70cm which, due to the effect of the Bora wind, was then amplified when the water from the lagoon city was pushed south towards Chioggiat so that at Punta della Salute, in front of San Marco, 47cm were recorded.
In the southern lagoon, however, the tide rose, at 11.00, up to 92cm, but Chioggia remained dry anyway. (ANSA).
