In the first nine months of 2020, that is, in the months of the pandemic, "1,172 subjects were reported for the crimes of commercial fraud, sale of products with false signs, fraud, forgery and receiving stolen goods and were subjected to seizure, also thanks to the intensification of customs controls, around 57 million masks and personal protective equipment, as well as 765 thousand packages and 158 thousand liters of sanitizers sold, fraudulently, as disinfectants ".
