(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, OCTOBER 15 - More than 600 middle and low-ranking Syrian members of ISIS, detained for years in the prisons in north-eastern Syria, were released today by virtue of the "general amnesty" announced in recent days by the Kurdish-Syrian authorities. In a statement, the Kurdish-Syrian authorities specified that 631 ISISE members of other armed groups "who did not commit blood criminals" were released, while 253 convicted had their sentences reduced by half.
