The 28-year-old rapper, real name Melvin Noble, was gunned down Wednesday while driving on a freeway north of Dallas, the Dallas Police Department confirmed.
He had made a name for himself with his title "Everybody".
Police report that an armed man approached Mo3, who got out of his stationary car and started running south on the highway.
The man followed him, hit him and shot him several times.
The rapper was then taken to a local hospital where he died shortly after from his injuries.
Rapper Boosie BadAzz, who collaborated with Mo3 on many titles like “One Of Them Days Again”, “Mop Wit It” or “My People In Prison”, paid tribute to his friend in a tweet, a few hours after the shooting.

Police said the suspected gunman is still at large and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
A reward of $ 5,000 was offered for any information leading to an arrest and charge.
