Celebrity Christmas greetings: good news?

2020-12-24T11:19:51.094Z

Röttgen rocks, Nemo barks and Archie is one: Christmas greetings are usually nicely thought out. But well intentioned is not always well done. Three examples.

Christmas time is greetings time - and while the German Federal President turns to the people as traditionally as hopefully ("We see the long-awaited light at the end of the tunnel getting brighter"), sometimes strange Christmas messages come from other countries.

This year, it is not France's head of state Emmanuel Macron who has reported from the Elysée Palace, but state dog Nemo.

The former rescue dog has been at home with the Macrons since 2017 and advertises in a video for the inclusion of abandoned animals - but only after careful consideration.

In the clip published on Facebook, the black Labrador-Griffon mix looks at his dog and wags his tail.

His barking is "translated" with subtitles.

In France, around 10,000 animals lose their homes every year.

“So adopt her for Christmas.

But adopt them consciously. ”Nemo also points out that a law against cruelty to animals will be debated in the French parliament in January.

Meghan Markle and her Harry also stand up for animals.

The animal welfare organization Mayhew quotes from a letter from its patron that her family "has donated to several charities this year."

Including the organization that, according to its own description, is committed to "improving the lives of dogs and cats in London and around the world."

The mercy message sent from the United States may also be a sign of homesickness.

After all, in sunny California it rarely rains the well-known "cats and dogs" from the phrase.

What is more remarkable, however, is the indication that the Christmas tree and decorations on the menu were chosen by son Archie.

Mature achievement for a year and a half.

The "ultimate Christmas playlist" by Norbert Röttgen is all about it.

The politician mixes Bing Crosby with the Leipziger Thomaner Chor and Mariah Carey, among others, Wham, Britney Spears, Helene Fischer and Ariana Grande are part of the musical election program.

Very few would have believed the next CDU chairman to be heard.

There is only a need for improvement visually.

The photo of Röttgen with headphones is strongly reminiscent of the film posters for the Stasi film "The Lives of Others".
