(ANSA) - NAPLES, 24 DEC - Positive results today for the 'Lasagna Solidale', the initiative organized by ConfesercentiCampania, with the president Vincenzo Schiavo, in collaboration with Fiepet (Italian Federation of Public and Tourist Operators), and with the help of Community of Sant'Egidio dellaCampania and Lorenzo Crea's "RetexNapoli". 1500 lasagna was delivered to the poor.

"Despite the moment of great difficulty - said Schiavo - Confesercenti and Fiepet wanted to show that they are always and in any case alongside those in need. For two months, after the previous lockdown, our restaurants have been closed and are not developing economies. The 'food' companies we represent have joined with enthusiasm, with the heart, the same passion that drives their activities. It was a charity run, to show the most beautiful face of our businesses ".

"We are living in a very special year - said FrancescaSepe of the Community of Sant'Egidio in Naples -, since the beginning of the pandemic the community has also supported the new poor caused by this virus, because the difficulties have increased in this city as in other parts of Naples has had a great privilege, that is to have a huge network of solidarity that has gathered around us. This morning the presence of Confesercenti is a clear demonstration of this, it is a great example. Since March we have supported hundreds of families without difficulty, every day we provide them with 1500 expenses daily ".

Fundamental, underlines the note, "the support of Fiepet (Italian Federation of Public and Tourist Operators)".

"They have also tried to take away our dignity and heart - said Vincenzo Politelli, president of Fiepet Campania - and instead we are here because, despite experiencing a very complicated moment, we know that there are people who suffer more than us". "The restaurant industry has been completely eliminated, crushed and trampled on as dignity by this pandemic and its consequences. However - said Antonio Viola, president of Fiepet Napoli - as soon as the opportunity arose, we joined this initiative with great happiness ".
