64,119 people were checked on 26 December by the police and carabinieri as part of the checks for compliance with the prohibitions introduced with the decree of 18 December, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior.

Of these 969 people were sanctioned for violations, 8 reported for breaking the quarantine at home.

On the other hand, there were 11,594 checks on the activities and commercial establishments, which led to the closure of 5 shops and penalties for 30 owners.
