4,501 people have died in Israel from the coronavirus since the outbreak of the plague last year, 14 of them died today, the Ministry of Health announced tonight (Tuesday).
Yesterday, 55 people died.

Since the beginning of the month, 1,138 corona patients have died from the virus.
Currently, the average daily death rate is 42 people - and at this rate, the number of deaths in January could reach about 1,400 people.
According to the corona data update, yesterday 91,606 tests were performed to detect the virus - 8,680 of them were found to be positive, so that the rate of positive results stands at 9.8%.
Since midnight and as of 6:37 p.m., 54,778 tests have been performed - 5,182 of them positive.
The percentage of positive results so far - 9.5.
The data also show that there are currently 74,323 active corona patients in Israel, out of 613,286 people who have been infected with the virus since the outbreak.
1,799 of the active patients are hospitalized in the various hospitals.
1,173 patients are in critical condition, 414 of them in critical condition and 313 respirators.
In addition, 3,081 health staff members were found to be infected with the virus and are in isolation, 282 of whom are physicians and 783 are brothers and sisters.
The number of people vaccinated in the first dose of the vaccine is 2,728,154 people, which is 29.61% of all Israelis.
In the second stage, we have vaccinated 1,315,179 Israelis so far - which is 14.27% of the total public in the country.
