France is not spared and the executive is worried about the upward trend in the circulation of the virus.

A trend observed by looking at both hospitalizations and the number of contaminations.

11,219 new hospitalizations

In the past 24 hours, the latest figures from Public Health France show 23,770 new coronavirus contaminations, against 26,916 on Wednesday and 22,848 seven days ago.

The Minister of Health recalled this Thursday at a press conference that the bar of 20,000 contaminations per day on average has been crossed for several days.

Far from the target of 5,000 per day initially set.

Regarding mortality, health authorities have recorded 348 deaths in the past 24 hours, against 351 on Wednesday and 358 seven days ago.

Since the start of the epidemic, the disease has now killed 74,800 people, including 52,562 in hospitals and 22,238 in nursing homes.

Hospitals recorded 11,219 new hospitalizations of Covid-19 patients over the last seven days, against 11,271 on Wednesday.

Among them, 1,800 had to be admitted to an intensive care unit, against 1,789 the day before (total over seven days).

All the usual figures communicated by Public Health France and the government were not available Thursday evening, for the second consecutive day.
