The excavation
is based on the true story of Edith Pretty, landowner in the county of Suffolk, in eastern England, where one of the most important burials in the United Kingdom was found in the late 1930s.
Led by archaeologist Basil Brown, Pretty promoted the Sutton Hoo excavation, which uncovered a 24-meter-long burial ship from Anglo-Saxon times.
It was the burial place of the 7th century king Redwald.
