2021-01-29T16:16:38.743Z

The 36th edition could take place on February 12 in front of an audience of 1300 people. This initiative should make it possible to test the health safety of the public in concert halls.

It was a ray of hope for the entire cultural sector.

On December 12, the life-size test concert in a performance hall in Barcelona finally convinced France to try out gathering experiences during a pandemic.

Similar initiatives should be organized in Paris and Marseille in the coming weeks (subject to government announcements) and the Victoires de la Musique may well be the first event in this series.

According to the press release from one of its organizers, it would become the first musical gathering welcoming the public for nearly a year.

The 36th edition of the ceremony, which will bring together the flower of the music scene for an evening, would be held on February 12 at the Seine Musicale (Boulogne-Billancourt).

An audience of some 1300 spectators is expected.

It would finally be possible for the artists to find the stage, and especially their fans, under a strict health protocol which commits everyone: the organizers, the rooms, and of course the public.

And if everyone plays along, we could finally see the end of this terrible period for our entire industry,

”said Jean-Yves de Linares, general manager of the Association des Victoires de la Musique in a statement.

Antigenic tests under study

The organization of this test concert would be done in collaboration with Innova Médical Group, a specialist in the production of antigenic tests.

A statement from the health center specifies that it is currently being studied to produce the necessary number of tests for the public.

Several scenarios are considered in compliance with sanitary conditions and antigenic tests remain one of them.

No decision has been taken at this stage.

The Prodiss (National Union of Producers, Broadcasters, Festivals and Musical and Variety Venues) in charge of test concerts in Paris and Marseille, hopes a lot from these initiatives.

In the capital, few details were released, but the experience is expected to take place in front of a crowd of 2,500 to 3,000 people.

Marseille, meanwhile, has already announced the headliner of its programming.

Rap group IAM will be the guest of honor for this essay, which will take place in the Le Dôme performance hall, as he explained in a video posted to YouTube on January 15.

For the moment, no date has been specified.
