Delgres, federator

After having thrilled the docks of the port of Le Havre with

4 Ed Meaten

, Delgres unveils the video for

Assez Assez

, a new single from the 4AM album scheduled for April 9.

Recorded live in the Magic Mirror, a marquee well known to Rennais that recalls the roaring twenties, the black and white video reveals the power of the trio, united in a more unifying momentum than ever.

"

Because with all this noise, we can no longer hear those who cry out their despair in the silence of the sea ...

" sings Pascal Danae, in the midst of the clash of Rafgee's sousaphone and Baptiste Brondy's drums.

Spring seems to be well underway.

NB

Arthur Hnatek, modern jazz drummer

Did Arthur Hnatek learn from the leaders he supports?

In his album, recorded as a trio, the Geneva drummer cultivates the taste for adventure and the temptation for electronic music by trumpeter Erik Truffaz and Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan.

To do this, there are many effects on the texture (scrambled) and the spatialization (distended) of the sound.

Thanks to the central place given to repetition and melodic lines, the Arthur Hnatek trio has its place on the stages of electro clubs.

As a bonus, a raw power trio jazz constantly in motion, made up of complex rhythmic structures and improvisations, comes to life.

So many reasons not to get bored listening to

Static,

a misleading album name in more than one way.

Brazilian jazz funk by Marcos Resende

Jazz-funk, Brazil, the 70s ... the English label Far Out recordings has its hobbyists, which it maintains with this new excellent release.

An abortive release on the CTI label in 1976 convinced pianist Marcos Resende to put his recording back in the boxes, before the music was presented to Joe Davis (Far out) in 2018. Originally, the creation of this formation, there was the desire of Marcos Resende to mix Brazilian (poly) rhythms with progressive jazz (rock).

It's done with this gem of groove with rich instrumental (percussions, keyboards, wind instruments).

Azymuth and Marcos Valle are not far away.

Died in November 2020, at 73, from cancer, Marcos Resende will not have seen this new release, for which he worked closely in the restoration of the tapes.

Phife Dawg, five years later

A victim of diabetes at the far from canonical age of 45, New York rapper Phife Dawg was then working on his second solo album,

Forever

.

Five years after his death, his family finally unveils the first extract of the

Nutshell part

project

.

2

, the sequel to his eponymous title released in 2016. It is with undisguised pleasure that we find here the flow so characteristic of the former member of A Tribe Called Quest, supported for the occasion by two "kickers" legendary: Redman and Busta Rhymes.

And as if that were not enough, the old school trio poses on an instrumental signed by the legendary producer J Dilla, who died in 2006. A collaboration from beyond the grave with a resolutely nineties sound, which foreshadows serious block-parties in paradise .

Laura Cahen

(again) in

Cavale

After the release of her hit

Cavale

in December, Laura Cahen returns to a - more or less - live session of her song, in order to best introduce her next album, available in the spring.

Shot at the Versailles racecourse and directed by Zacharie Ellia, the clip presents the 31-year-old artist gently starting his piece with a few strumming, here and there, on the keyboards that will accompany him during the singing time.

The chestnut horses and the uncluttered staging are all ways of highlighting what the hearing captures very well: the electro-Indian aspect of his music.

Laura does not seem very comfortable in this version, noticeably more frozen than the original title.

This contrasts with the warlike and rebellious words of which she is the interpreter.

Kings Of Leon, the return

And a new title for the

Kings of Leon

.

The least we can say is that the group will have communicated on their brand new album,

When You See Yourself

, which is scheduled for release on March 5.

After

The Bandit

and

100,000 People

, the song

Echoing

confirms an explosive opus.

Saturated guitars and a broken voice, paradoxically melodious, but a bit nasal.

The track smells of old American rock, in the style of the Strokes, contemporary of the Lions from Nashville.

What balm the heart for those nostalgic for grunge and happy post-punk.

Dua Lipa in support of lobsters

The clip, very special, will appeal to animalists and tender souls. Appearing in a remake of

Titanic

, singer Dua Lipa comes to the rescue of the lobsters through her new title,

We're Good

, from the reissue of the album

Future Nostalgia

(

Moonlight Edition

), which features, in particular, duets with Angèle, DaBaby, JID. The twenty-five-year-old Briton, very beautiful in this chic and crazy realization, would almost make you forget the primary interest of these images: to showcase her music.
