(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 14 - Elections kicking off this morning in Catalonia for the renewal of the Parliament of the Spanish autonomous region: the polling stations are open from 9:00 am and will close at 8:00 pm.
The first results are expected around midnight.
According to many observers, the outcome of these elections will largely depend on the undecided: it is therefore difficult to predict whether the socialists - at the head of the Spanish government - will succeed in removing the separatists from regional power, more than three years after a failed attempt at secession. .
Voting participation is expected to drop sharply due to the pandemic, despite an improvement in the situation in recent days and appeals from politicians to go to the polls.
