"The impact of the Covid crisis on culture is a cataclysm", writes the artist, who wants to carry a voice "that we do not hear", that of "clubs, discotheques around the world, (of ) DJs, and all those who work alongside them: dance culture ”.
"I can definitely not be silent in the face of the feeling of abandonment and the lack of recognition that this sector suffers from," continues Cerrone, who broadcast this missive at midday on Saturday on his social networks and those of his Because label.
And to underline the fate of DJs "often in a precarious employment situation, who find themselves today, for the majority of them, without any resources".
"Every day brings its share of bad news, announcements of final closings and bankruptcies," he insists.
