Since the municipal council of March 22, slogans have flourished on the gates of the sports field located in the Neudorf district, in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin).

A building will be created instead with coworking spaces, an amphitheater and a restaurant, ”explains Delphine Bernard, a neighbor.

This maternal assistant immediately organized a petition to oppose the transaction, launched under the previous term of office.

“Among the 1300 signatories, many voted for the ecological municipality.

Many people are surprised to see a project that promotes concrete validated by this EELV majority, which constantly defends the greening of Strasbourg ”, quips Delphine Bernard.

“We never announced that we would stop building.

Especially since we have the assurance that this building will be eco-responsible and in particular built with locally produced wood ”, answers Suzanne Brolly, urban planning assistant.

An elected official who also considers that "this sports ground endangers the health of those who frequent it, since it adjoins a very polluted road".

“This real estate project provides for the reconstruction of a new sports field, but which will be smaller and landlocked, so where the air will be even more stale.

The current sports ground is a warm space very appreciated by the young people of the neighborhood who come to play basketball and by families, because it is the only breathable space we have ”, warns Sandrine Bernard.
