Covid: positive rise, deaths fall. Less and less hospitalized

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 26 - There are 3,937 coronavirus test positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 3,224. On the other hand, 121 victims were killed in one day, while yesterday there were 166.


    The molecular and antigenic swabs for coronavirus carried out were 260,962; yesterday the tests were 252,646. The positivity rate is 1.5%, up slightly from 1.2% yesterday.


    There are 1,278 patients admitted to intensive care, an increase of 45 compared to yesterday in the daily balance between entries and exits, while the daily entries were 39 (yesterday there were 46). On the other hand, 8,118 patients were hospitalized with symptoms in the ordinary wards, 439 fewer in the last 24 hours.


    In total, the cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 4,201,827, 125,622. On the other hand, the discharged and healed are 3,816,176, with an increase of 11,930 compared to yesterday, while the currently positive ones fall to 260,029 (-8,116).
