Harmful bacteria have been discovered in a paprika salami of the brand “Every Day”.
The Federal Office warns against consuming the recalled product.
Stuttgart - There is a recall for the paprika salami from "Every Day".
Affected is the 200-gram pack of paprika salami with the batch number 1104 and the best before date May 29, 2021. The product was offered at the Globus retail chain.
The producer of the sausage is the Zentrale Handelsgesellschaft mbH Offenburg (ZHG), which also initiated the recall.
The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) warns against consuming salami.

The enterohaemorrhagic E.coli bacterium (STEC) could be detected in the sausage during a routine examination. In a press release, the company cites the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and cites diarrhea and abdominal cramps as possible health consequences. "In particular, infants, toddlers, seniors and people with a weakened immune system can develop more severe disease courses with bloody diarrhea," says the RKI.
The affected product is immediately removed from the inventory.
Customers who have already bought the sausage are asked to dispose of it or bring it back to the supermarket.
The purchase price will be reimbursed even without a receipt.
According to the Federal Office, the sausage was sold in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Bremen, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia.
