A Moscow court has branded political organizations led by jailed Russian dissident Alexei Navalny as 'extremist', banning all activities and making staff liable to prosecution.
A Moscow city court statement said Navalny regional network offices and its anti-corruption organization were labeled extremists and banned with immediate effect for "disseminating information inciting hatred and contempt against officials of the government".
Prisoned Russian dissident Alexei Navalny commented on the Moscow court's decision to declare its organizations 'extremist' saying that "he will not back down". "We will manage, we will evolve, we will adapt. But we will not back down from our goals and our ideas. This is our country and we have no others," Navalny wrote on his Instagram account after the announcement of the decision. (HANDLE).
