Day in the Life of a Stewardess (@flywithtay / TikTok)
Taylor, a 22-year-old flight attendant has revealed in Tiktok that she uses a fake engagement ring during her shifts to prevent men from approaching her with sexual or romantic proposals.
Under the headline: "Works like magic," the short video shows her laughing as she waves a ring she bought from Amazon to the camera, and below the caption: "Proud of my fake ring at work to keep the creeps from accessing."
In the comments she even added a link to purchase the ring.
"As always, my videos are with a wink and a good mood," she said, "I'm just a girl trying to avoid embarrassing situations. I will continue to separate my love life from my work."

In response to a Taylor video, many women have admitted to using this method. One wrote: "I'm all glad I'm not the only one doing this." A second added: "I've been doing this for years." A third said, "I work in the health care system, I do the same thing!", While a fourth concluded, "I'm divorced, and I do it while I'm at conferences at work."
Although the video addresses the subject with humor, it sadly points to the great effort that women have to make to avoid unwanted attention and harassment from men. The British "Independent" reported that according to a recent study, most women suffered from sexual harassment and lost confidence that there was a possibility of dealing with the problem.
In a survey conducted by the polling company YouGov, about 97 percent of women confirmed that they were sexually harassed and 80 percent said they had experienced sexual harassment in public space.Only four percent of women surveyed reported harassment to officials and 45 percent admitted they did not believe reporting would help change anything.
